Role Summary

Due to internal promotion we are recruiting a Senior Strategy Manager to join the Strategy team who are responsible for defining and articulating the future direction of the business and ultimately driving long-term success. The team works with stakeholders across all areas of the business, including Commercial, Operations and Finance in the areas of strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and supporting areas of the business tackle challenging and complex problems. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects across all areas including the execution of our annual strategic planning process. The role will play a key role within any M&A related activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop hypothesis led solutions to complex business challenges across a range of business areas
  • Challenge existing organisational perspectives through analysis, benchmarking and problem solving
  • Progress complex, cross functional, business critical programmes through a project management and collaborative approach
  • Build relationships and influence key business stakeholders including C suite executives
  • Perform high quality quantitative and qualitative research to identify and validate opportunities
  • Manage teams of direct and indirect reports to successfully deliver project outcomes
  • Manage the annual strategic planning process and development of the 5 year financial model in conjunction with Finance
  • Ability to design and lead workshops and interviews with senior business stakeholders
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially PowerPoint
  • Robust financial analysis capabilities to support the development of strategic plan and business cases

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Outstanding academic or professional achievement
  • ACA / MBA with significant financial modelling experience
  • Experience either in an in-house strategy function or top tier management consultancy
  • Has a clear focus to deliver results, working to targets, reviewing progress and adapting plans accordingly
  • Self motivated to achieve
  • Understands business and external environment
  • Expresses ideas confidently and clearly, builds positive and constructive relationships with others
