This role reports into the Senior FM of Group Technical Accounting, providing financial ownership and delivery of financial planning, reporting and accounting for this FTSE business subsidiaries. Key purpose of this role is to be the end to end finance contact for the subsidiaries and provide complete financial management and ownership for these areas

Key Responsibilities

• Month end deliverables, annual planning, projects and preparing the year-end statutory accounts
• Provide a finance business partnership between subsidiary management and the wider Group
• Ensuring remote accounting functions are properly governed to deliver a high and consistent standard of financial control
• Support the Group Financial Control team during key reporting periods
• Provide a true Business Partner framework to the subsidiaries ensuring that the business owners are supported with insight and information.
• Production of legal entity budgets including integration with Group-wide budget
• Responsible for the production of month end reporting packs and consolidated commentary for Entity Managers
• Completion of all regulatory requirements and reporting across multiple jurisdictions

Experience

• Qualified accountant with relevant PQE
• Proven experience in a business partner environment, in an International organisation with multiple business units and diverse workforce
• Ability to embrace large, complex, preferably fast moving, entities
• Excellent analytical skills with an ability to demonstrate an excellent grasp of variance analysis and the key drivers
• Proven ability to digest and interpret accounting complexity across balance sheet, cash flow and P&L
• Excellent excel skills (up to basic macros) and Planning Analytics experience preferred
